SUMMARY OF POSITION
Contract Management professional for a large, fast paced and growth oriented aerospace manufacturing and engineering firm. The Contract Manager will be responsible or all aspects of Contract Management with a global customer base and across multiple business units including development of negotiation strategy, contract negotiation, record of negotiation, change management, and other execution phase contractual requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Drafts, evaluates, negotiates and executes multiple forms of contractual documents (including non-disclosure agreements, sales/purchasing agreements, sub-contracts, consulting agreements, licensing agreements, master agreements), and reviews customer proposed terms and conditions, to ensure alignment with company procedures
Develops negotiation strategy and leads negotiations
Focal point for all contractual communications and commitments to customers
Ensures that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties. Provides contract visibility and awareness to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, appropriate laws and corporate policies
Participates with change management team, and provides guidance and support to change claim proposal preparation
Maintains contractual records and documentation, including correspondence, contractual changes, status reports and other documents as required
Provides clarification and interpretation of AIP and customer obligations and responsibilities
Provides clarification and interpretation of complex contract issues
Maintains familiarity with the business case, financial issues, risk identification and profit and loss implications surrounding contractual documents
Complies with existing departmental procedures. Assists in identification, development and implementation of new contract policies, procedures and processes

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED required
Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field of study
Juris Doctorate or Master’s Degree a strong plus
Minimum of five years’ experience in Aerospace Contract Management
Ability to draft, interpret and communicate complex terms & conditions through various contracting vehicles
Basic knowledge and understanding of FAR and DFAR
Financial understanding of impacts and/or benefits of terms & conditions on contract profitability
Experience leading and supporting customer negotiations
Experience in identification and mitigation of contract risks
Export compliance experience a strong plus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. § is required

Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast paced environment
Reports faulty equipment and has the ability to make difficult decisions and seeks management’s assistance when needed
Able to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area
SALARY
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000. Compensation within this range may vary based on work location, experience, education and specific role requirement. In alignment with state and local laws, including those in California, this range reflects our commitment to fair and equitable compensation practices.
