Job Summary:

TCS is looking for an experienced HR Director Consultant to work on a part-time, consulting basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who has demonstrated success in providing strategic HR direction within consulting or federal contracting environments. The HR Director Consultant will play a vital role in supporting TCS’s leadership team in areas including strategic workforce planning, recruitment, compliance, and employee relations. This position offers the flexibility of a part-time schedule and the ability to work remotely, with periodic in-person meetings as required.


Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership:
-Develop and implement HR strategies that align with TCS’s business objectives and support organizational growth.
-Partner with leadership to drive key HR initiatives that improve employee engagement, performance, and retention.
-Provide expert advice and counsel on HR policies, federal contracting regulations, and best practices to meet the evolving needs of a consulting business.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
-Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent within the industry.
-Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and create effective hiring plans.
-Implement best practices for candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to enhance the candidate experience.
Compliance & Risk Management:
-Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as specific regulatory requirements applicable to federal contracting and consulting.
-Update and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation to reflect changes in labor laws and industry standards.
-Lead audits and implement corrective actions as necessary to address compliance risks.
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
-Serve as a trusted advisor for managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.
-Design and implement effective performance evaluation processes that align with business goals and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
-Support employee development initiatives, including training, mentorship programs, and career progression planning.
Compensation, Benefits & Policy Development:
-Advise on compensation and benefits practices to remain competitive within the consulting industry and attract high-quality candidates.
-Update and standardize HR policies and employee handbooks to foster consistency and clarity across the organization.
-Assist in the development of employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including benefits specific to part-time and contract employees.
Organizational Development & Change Management:
-Lead change management efforts as TCS evolves and grows, promoting communication and transparency throughout the organization.
-Collaborate with the leadership team on organizational development projects, including restructuring, job design, and workforce planning.
-Support a positive workplace culture that encourages collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Job Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
-A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with a preference for experience within consulting or federal contracting environments.
-Proven track record as a strategic HR leader, ideally with experience in part-time or consulting roles.
-In-depth knowledge of employment laws, federal contracting regulations, and compliance requirements.
-Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
-Ability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively within diverse teams.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex HR topics clearly.

Compensation & Benefits:

-Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications: $65-$74 per hour
-Flexible, part-time schedule allowing for work-life balance.
