We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer-Architect to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) under the Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) contract.
NOTE: This is a 100% virtual / work from home / remote position located anywhere in the Continental United States. However, travel may be required (up to 10% as needed).

What will you be doing?
Remotely supporting USACE, the Senior Azure Engineer-Architect will design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge cloud solutions within the Microsoft Azure Government ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure architecture, a strong background in cloud security, and experience working in environments requiring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
Responsibilities include design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions in Azure, leveraging platform services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions in Azure, leveraging platform services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless integration of workloads into the Azure Government cloud environment.
• Implement robust security frameworks following DoD compliance requirements, leveraging Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and Azure Sentinel.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep, or Terraform.
• Perform cost optimization, resource utilization analysis, and recommend improvements for Azure environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet technical and business needs.
• Monitor and maintain Azure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and adherence to SLAs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure-related issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up to date with Azure advancements and integrate relevant innovations into the environment.
Requirements:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required prior to start date.
• Must have a CompTIA Security+ (required).
• Must have at least one Expert-level Azure Advanced Certification such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (required).
• Must have 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on Azure cloud engineering and architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying Azure PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
• Expertise in DoD compliance frameworks, including RMF and STIG.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information echnology, or a related field.
• Experience with multi-cloud strategies and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure identity solutions, including Azure Active Directory and Conditional Access Policies.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering secure and compliant solutions.

Work Environment:
