The Work

As a Test Equipment Technician Specialist, you will oversee the procurement, build, maintenance, repair, and calibration of Special Test Equipment (STE) used in validating advanced digital and RF hardware systems. Key responsibilities include:
Maintenance and Calibration: Perform advanced maintenance, repair, and calibration of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
Tool Crib Management: Ensure the availability, maintenance, and proper accounting of tools and equipment in the Engineering Tool Crib.
Routine Calibration: Conduct calibration tasks to ensure optimal performance with minimal downtime.
Purchasing and Parts Management: Create Purchase Requests, track orders, and manage receiving, kitting, and staging of parts per program specifications.
Asset Management: Maintain test equipment integrity and documentation, ensuring accurate records.
Production Data Management: Handle production data in SAP, including As-Built Lists (ABLs) for Test Equipment.
Verification: Verify build-to-print packages and ensure equipment meets certification standards.
Certification: Prepare test equipment for certification, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor lower-level employees, share expertise, and drive continuous improvement within the team.
You will collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure proper setup, calibration, and operational functionality of test equipment supporting complex engineering systems.

This position requires the ability obtain Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in test equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration

Advanced technical knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and measurement principles

Experience with calibration software and procedures

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools

Build/assembly experience using models, prints, and wiring diagrams as reference material

Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with MS Office tools
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with industry and regulatory standards

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills

Ability to work in a team environment and provide technical guidance and support to others
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $47,500 - $90,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $54,500 - $98,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
