KC-130J Loadmaster, Flight Engineer

KBR's Defense Systems Engineering, Naval Solutions Division is seeking a KC-130J Loadmaster/Flight Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be working for the long-term incumbent and leader in flight test and will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

As part of the world's largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government and Commercial Agencies, the highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew Project and Flight Test support at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD .

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Performs pre, in and post flight duties to ensure successful completion of RDT&E and search and rescue missions.
  • Provides support for the testing of prototype equipment installations, performance analysis, aircraft systems testing and evaluation.
  • Provides support for aerial refueling, logistics, ground and flight test on C/KC-130 aircraft assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20).


Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 10 plus years of relevant experience; An Associate's Degree plus 4 years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree; 6 years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Must have a minimum of 1000 flight hours as a Loadmaster/Flight Engineer and previously designated as a Loadmaster/Flight Engineer in the C/KC-130J.
  • Must be able to obtain FAA CFR Part 67 Second-Class Airman Medical certificate, which is required for C-130 flight operations.
  • Must meet current CNAF 3710.7 series physical and physiological minimums for the C-130 T/M/S aircrew position.
  • Must be able to pass a Naval Aviation Survival Training Program (NASTP) class II aircraft (i.e., C-130) training every 4 years.
  • Applicant must have to ability to obtain a Secret clearance. The selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% or as required by contract.


Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 5000 Flight hours on the KC-130 aircraft is preferred.
  • Previously designated as an Aerial Delivery, Night Systems, Weapons and Tactics Instructors is preferred.
  • Applicant should be able to obtain/maintain an APU Operator certification and Plane Captain Designation.

40 hours/week

Compensation:

$88,000$ - 132,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, contract affordability and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
