About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Connected/IoT Solution Architect to join us. The Connected/IoT Solution Architect will oversee the design, development, and implementation of Connected/IoT Solution for automotive and manufacturing customers. Will closely collaborate with product teams, and third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless end-to-end success. Will contribute to the overall development of connected strategy. Will support the teams in troubleshooting and resolution of defects. Will need to have a strong background in connected devices and IoT, data management, and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of the Connected/IoT solutions.
- Works with all the stakeholder teams in an Agile way to ensure timely progress and remove all the blockers as needed.
- Manage the quality of delivery of solutions including working with suppliers within contractual boundaries.
- Builds and maintains close relationship and interaction with all the internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for the detailed design of the platform/solution
- Works with the requirements team (Feature/Product Owners) in assimilating requirements.
- Validates the estimates from the development partners and recommends approvals.
- Coordinates the resolution of all the issues.
- Build the roadmap for incremental features and releases of platform/solutions.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and cross functional team meetings to provide technical input and drive decision-making.
- Define and align teams around the OTA Vision and Strategy.
- Work closely with operations, vehicle team to plan next OTA release.
- Collaborate closely with other teams to stay aligned to customer's vision and strategy.
Qualifications

- IoT/Connected experience.
- Experience working with devices on the edge (hardware) for connectivity, telemetry, and data analytics.
- Experience with design, development, and implementation of connected/IoT architecture.
- Experience with designing and developing components focused on reliability and performance.
- Experience utilizing a majority of the following technologies.
- TCP/IP
- HTTP
- MQTT
- JSON, XML or others
- CAN Architecture
- APIs and Microservices
- Cybersecurity (SSL, TSL certificates)
- AWS/Azure/GCP certificates
- C++, Java, Python
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 5+ years' experience in the Connected field
- 10+ years' experience in connectivity product management
- Experience with failure mode process and techniques (example: DFMEA, TARA, etc.)
- Experience with rapid prototyping, PoC, and developing of MVP.
- Experience of working with updates and telemetry of connected devices
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent team player with the experience in leading people.
- Well organized, process oriented and focused on coaching team members towards process excellence.
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities in a cross functional setting.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Automotive, Connectivity or Tier 1 supplier.
- Experience with Connectivity/Head Unit and Offboard cloud capabilities.
- Experience with evaluating system and architecture designs.
- Ability to work with a global application development supplier engagement model.
- Ability to hold themselves and others accountable for resolving issues and maintaining project timelines.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps & ITIL concepts
- Experience in Connected Vehicle Prior experience working with an Automotive OEM Exposure to OTA (Over the Air) Updates like FOTA, AOTA
