ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment. This role is located in the Beltsville, MD area and is in anticipation of favorable award of an upcoming program.

Key Role:

Responsible for managing the contract team and subcontractors, ensuring the successful delivery of the O&M&S program objectives. The role includes oversight of complex, high-performance systems that support critical mission communications, data processing, and system sustainment. The manager will lead efforts to ensure operational security, system reliability, and efficiency, while also supporting future enhancements and commercial innovations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of the O&M&S program, ensuring secure and reliable operations of various technical systems used in mission-critical applications.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, managing key program functions such as system monitoring, service orchestration, and data transport to ensure operational continuity and success.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet performance goals, including system uptime, reliability, and operational availability.
  • Manage the operations of communication and tracking systems that support various high-priority missions, ensuring compliance with all program requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, IT security protocols, and communication security (COMSEC) measures across all operational systems.
  • Lead systems engineering tasks to support the operations and sustainment of key assets, including preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and technical process improvements.
  • Facilitate the transition of new technologies from development phases into operational use, providing guidance and technical feedback during integration and testing.
  • Support the commercialization of select systems and services, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and streamlined operations.
  • Oversee mission integration, ensuring that technical systems meet mission requirements from pre-launch through ongoing operations.
  • Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, aligning program objectives with the evolving needs of the broader mission landscape.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale technical programs, preferably in defense, aerospace, or telecommunications sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing complex government contracts.
  • Strong skills in team management, with experience leading geographically dispersed teams in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with high-reliability operational systems used in mission-critical applications.
  • Ability to obtain government security clearance to the TS/SCI level

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Experience managing federal or government contracts in aerospace, defense, or communications infrastructure.
  • Background in commercialization efforts or process improvement initiatives for complex technical systems.
