We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia, PA. This position will involve providing comprehensive support for information systems security, focusing on the Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, ensuring secure system operations, and managing system security compliance throughout the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Support: Provide full lifecycle support for RMF, including risk assessment, security testing, documentation, and continuous monitoring to maintain system security posture.
- System Security Assessments: Perform security scans of hardware/software using ACAS or related tools to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with DoD security requirements.
- Assessment & Authorization (A&A) Support: Assist in the preparation of the necessary documentation for the A&A process, working with stakeholders to develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for vulnerability remediation.
- Security Compliance Tools: Use tools such as eMASS to ensure that deployed systems are properly configured, patched, and compliant with Information Assurance (IA) standards.
- Continuous Monitoring & Updates: Continuously monitor system security, ensuring that the system's accreditation package is maintained and updated throughout its lifecycle.
- Documentation Management: Update and create system documentation in accordance with DoD Instruction 8510.01 (RMF for DoD IT) to reflect baseline changes, security controls, and configurations.
- Vulnerability Mitigation: Collaborate with system administrators and engineers to track and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution before system release or deployment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Seven (7) years of professional experience in information security operations and security requirements development.
- Seven (7) years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and configuring systems to meet security requirements.
- Seven (7) years of experience implementing security controls, including configuration changes and software/hardware updates/patches.
- Seven (7) years of experience conducting vulnerability scans and securing system configurations.
- Proven expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Information Assurance (IA) standards, and security compliance tools (e.g., eMASS, ACAS).
- Experience supporting systems through the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process.
- Active Secret level security clearance (or higher).
Required Certifications:
At least one of the following certifications is required:
- IAT-3: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy or DoD systems.
- Familiarity with system engineering concepts and DoD system lifecycle processes.
- Knowledge of additional compliance tools such as DISA STIGs.
