Looking for Marine technicians for a high end customer in the yacht building and servicing industry who has been in the business for over 100 years.
The Technician will:
Installs wiring, fixtures, and equipment for electrical service such as radar, GPS, antennas, motors, pumps, and switches.
Be skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Will wire and connects electrical, electronic and communication systems, completing circuitry and testing systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment.
Has the ability to troubleshoot system problems and provide creative solutions for difficult system installations.
Interprets work orders and plans projects to be completed.
Develops material lists for project completion.
May have client contact requiring customer service communication skills
A day on the job would include but not limited to:
• Installation of marine electronic equipment: (Radar, GPS, Navigation, Autopilot, Radios, Pumps, etc.)
• Ability to diagnosis and troubleshoot and repair marine electronic systems and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and workshop manuals
• Ability to use various electronic testing equipment including multimeters, diagnostic scan tools, and software programming/download tools
• Understanding and wiring of CAN Bus systems and NMEA Networks
• Understanding DC & AC electrical systems
• Ability to provide creative solutions for complex system installations.
REQUIREMENTS
• ABYC Certification is a plus or ASE certified willing to take ABYC cert.
