Job Description

The Systems Administrator will manage the day-to-day operations by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. You will ensure the stable operation of the FPCS systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all software and communication links and/or collaborating with agency stakeholders.

Assist in system design, development, and implementation.
Install, configure and maintain hardware and software.
Analyze, resolve issues, and determine/provide root cause analysis with details on resolution/restoration,
Provide cybersecurity support and documentation for information/operational technology and/or
telecommunications systems to obtain favorable assessments and for continuous monitoring of systems
throughout their lifecycle.
Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and provide remediation support (patching, upgrades, or other support as needed).
Ensure records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
Train staff in how to use systems, software and hardware.
Perform troubleshooting and resolution as required.
Establish, maintain and manage user accounts.
Install, configure, modify and maintain systems, problems with all FPCS hardware, software, all
subcomponents of the system, and as needed operating systems, databases, and networks connectivity.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry regulations
Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and security

Qualifications

Active Secret Clearance Requied
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Ten+ (10) Years experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Minimum of seven (7) years of overall professional experience in systems administration with five (5) years
of overall experience in Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems
Minimum five (5) years of experience with FPCS, specifically hands-on experience in installing, configuring,
maintaining, and resolving issues.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, RHCSA, or CCNA
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies
Familiarity with IT security best practices and implementation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
