This role is located in the Beltsville, MD area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity plans, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee incident response protocols, penetration tests, and security audits to maintain system integrity.
- Implement robust access controls, data protection measures, and security protocols for high-risk infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to integrate security best practices into system development and operations.
- Proactively manage cybersecurity risks and address vulnerabilities to ensure mission continuity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related technical field (Masters preferred).
- At least 8 years of experience in IT security management for mission-critical systems.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Proven ability to develop and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity policies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to the TS/SCI level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with communication systems and navigation networks.
- Experience with high-risk infrastructure and critical systems protection.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills for managing IT security teams and protocols.
