A Senior Advanced Systems Engineer job opportunity is open with our client in Scottsdale, AZ. As a systems engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor"s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
* Responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
* Responsible for Ground operations
* Responsible for Ground to Satellite communication
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire
* Bachelor"s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field with 8+ years of job-related experience OR Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
* Agile experience preferred
* Satellite communications knowledge
* Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
* Ground operations experience
* Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle
* Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
* Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
* Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
* Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* STK/Python, CAMEO, or MATLAB analyst focus
* SE with MBSE experience and tracking knowledge
* SE with core skills space, tracking, MATLAB or python skills, some software ideal for backfill
* SMART OA SE - knowledge of IRPL and modeling tracking payload, aerospace experience
* Strong SW, cloud, modeling, and sim background with space knowledge
