Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Management Specialist to support our contract with Program Manager Ground Weapons Systems out of Stafford, VA.

ManTech is responsible for assisting our Government customers to ensure that material solutions developed or acquired by Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) are system engineered, integrated, interoperable, and certified to provide the warfighter with equipment required to accomplish their mission. To do that, ManTech assists our customer to conduct the detailed systems engineering analysis, establishes technical policies and guidance across the Command, and manage the technical investigation and distributed planning required to deliver world class Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) systems capabilities to the warfighter.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provides general logistics support in acquisition, sustainment, and technical evaluations
  • Reviews, develops, validates, analyzes, and updates publications (Operation Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Modification Instructions, Technical Instructions, SL-3's and Special Instructions)
  • Assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies documented in the Risk Management Plan
  • Develop and maintain Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), supportability milestones, acquisition activities, and adjust Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to balance program with requirements for suitability and affordability
  • Provide assistance in the testing of product support, evaluating the results against operational requirements, and predetermined measurable metrics
  • Provides coordination and management of various systems and processes
  • Preparation of integrated logistics requirements plans, operations and maintenance, performance criteria, and ensuring that logistics management operations complies with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Assists in initial provisioning and fielding of new equipment to include new equipment asset management and inventory control
  • Provide assistance in the management of the program for spares, repair parts, and supplies to meet requirements
  • Assist in the alignment of product support timeliness with the design and major program events in the program schedule
  • Ensures quality assurance is managed by utilizing the Product Quality Deficiency Reports
  • Provides input for program risks, project schedule, and sustainment planning
  • Able to navigate and use Total Force Structure Management System
  • Participation in development of budgetary requirements to include annual and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree and at least 4 years of DoD Logistics Analyst experience to include the following (additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree):
  • Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
  • General logistics support in acquisition, sustainment, and technical evaluations
  • Experience reviewing, developing, validating, analyzing, and updating publications (Operation Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Modification Instructions, Technical Instructions, SL-3's and Special Instructions)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiar with long range fires and munitions
  • Familiar with risk mitigation strategies
  • Familiar with Lifecycle Logistics and Acquisition
  • Relevant core and advanced certifications as established/required per local, national, and international industry standards or as necessitated by performance expectations associated with level of appointment
  • Journeyman skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tier
  • Certified/registered or equivalent as appropriate for level of appointment/profession
