The MITRE Ft. Meade cyber work program is dedicated to crafting innovative solutions for our sponsors to defend the nation, gather intelligence, and project power in and through cyberspace. Roles and Responsibilities include:
  • Planning, coordinating, and keeping contents of key departmental meetings focused
  • Continually assessing, proposing improvements to, and overseeing the execution of department and project operations
  • Interacting with the department leadership team to enable the day-to-day business operations and recurring business activities.
  • Tracking and Analyzing department and project business operations data (e.g., staff location, sponsor support, awards, demand signals, approval requests (e.g., over per diem, fee requests), etc.) to inform business operations decisions.
  • Helping to oversee strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation
  • Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within selected business processes
  • Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
  • Managing, facilitating, and serving as Workday delegate for HR functions, particularly in support of annual assessments, salary management, and promotion process management.
  • Managing, facilitating, and serving as Clarity delegate for project-related staffing, allocation management, budgeting, and all related activities.
  • Ensuring N281 department staff comply with mandatory corporate training program requirements
  • Assisting in managing (defining, executing, and tracking) training initiatives.
  • Assist in managing (defining, executing, and tracking) special events, projects / requests.
  • Bridging between department leadership, departments, and internal shared service stakeholders to facilitate department seasonal employee hiring, departures, transitions, execution of performance management program as well as N281 on-boarding program.
  • Providing leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork, efficiency, andengagementto help drive improvements in the organization
  • Serving as N281 and project primary POC for Communications Management, including the following:
  • Managing curation, distribution, completeness, and access to capability area materials and repositories for use both within N281 and across MITRE.
  • Curating N281 and project digital content & structure - including both technical repositories as well as business process management repositories and tools - and initiating business process improvements as needed.
  • Facilitating production and publication of recurring department literature.
  • Managing the department manager's schedule, scheduling meetings, and planning travel with appropriate care and attention to detail
  • Responding to inquiries on behalf of the department manager as directed.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Possess a current/active US Government TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively and tactfully with colleagues at every level of the organization
  • Strong self-organization, time management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work under tight deadlines
  • High-level of business acumen with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with independent decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage department activities and processes
  • Operates as a dependable partner who is proactive and can anticipate business leaders' needs
  • Demonstrated skills with business & financial tools including Clarity, Workday, IW Leia, Tableau, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft products including OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online, Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables), and PowerPoint
  • Competent in the latest telecommunications and desktop technologies and be willing to learn new technologies and processes quickly
  • The ability to lead others, or collaborate, in an effective and trustworthy way
  • Strong skills in organization and planning to prioritize tasks, set meetings, and diffuse work conflict
  • Ability to independently solve problems with vendors and partners
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$82,500 - $103,000 - $123,500 Annual
