Description

SAIC is seeking a proven Project and Engineering Lead to join an US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) program. This is your opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how the US Army delivers network operations and IT services worldwide to meet mission requirements. This program, in partnership with our customer, will provide a unified, global IT environment allowing the US Army to rapidly integrate, and deliver services to network operators and decision makers within global locations across NETCOM operation. This position is your opportunity to utilize your skills and background as a Senior Program Manager and provide decision dominance support to the warfighting mission with cutting edge networking technology, automation, and business process refinement for the US Army.

This positon is contingent on contract award which is expected in March 2025. Work must be performed at cusotmer site in Sierra Vista, AZ at Fort Huachuca.

Candidate must live within a 90-mile radius of Sierra Vista.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract. Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provides guidance to more junior team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect organization.

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Develops solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives

FREEDOM TO ACT: Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results.

IMPACT: Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.

LIASON: Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree and ten (10) years of experience or Masters and eight (8) years experience, an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
  • PMP required to be considered
  • ITILv4 Foundations required to be considered
