Position Summary
The B200 Pilot-in-Command position is overall responsible for the safe execution of an ISR flight within the USSOUTHCOM AOR in accordance with GFR approved Flight and Operations Procedures, applicable host nation rules and Federal Aviation Regulations, t he safe and efficient operation of the airplane in all weather, day and night, and all mission preparation: includes, but not limited to, preflight, flight planning, performance planning, weight and balance, fuel planning and post flight. Additionally, other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
The USSOUTHCOM Flight environment presents austere, often dangerous, flight. This position requires experienced, mature and professional ISR Pilots.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to :
- Perform duties as Pilot-in-Command in instrument, day/night, to provide Mission Sensor Operators with maximum station time and sensor efficiency.
- Perform all flight, performance planning, weight and balance and fuel planning.
- Maintain software updates for flight, performance planning, weight, and balance.
- Coordinate for out station refuel operations and all associated required flight planning.
- Coordinate international flights and associated permissions and authorities, i.e., APACS - diplomatic clearances, landing authorizations, etc.
- Additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
- FAA Commercial MEL/inst.
- 3,000 hours total time
- 2,000 hours multi-engine fixed wing time
- B200 type rating (may be obtained during initial training)
- Commercial license: multi-engine, fixed wing, land.
- Annual FAA approved vendor recurrent training is required.
The minimum years of related experience required:
- 5 years ISR experience
Education
The minimum level of education required is:
- Required: HS diploma or GED
Desired Requirements
The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
- FAA ATP MEL
- 1,000 hours in aircraft category
- Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
- Multiple tours or assignments flying or supporting airborne ISR missions
- Pilot experience with the USSOUTHCOM Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC)
Other Qualifications
Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
- DoD Secret Security Clearance
Travel:
- The Pilot-in-Command will travel on a rotational basis. The destination is at the direction of the Program Manager and may or may not be subject to austere living conditions.
