Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Junior to Mid Software Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

You will participate in the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance software solutions. Experience is desired in modern technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React, and PostgreSQL. Duties Include:

• Build and maintain scalable web applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.
• Develop APIs and backend systems using Node.js and Express.
• Create responsive and dynamic user interfaces with React.
• Design and manage database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience :

• 2-7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with all or some set of TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of system design, distributed systems, and architecture.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with GitLab (or some equivalent) for code repositories and pipelines
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, Support Contractor, and other Government agencies/personnel.
• Candidate must be confident in his/her ability to work across a vast organizational structure to effectively communicate complex technical issues.
• Travel as required (estimated 10%).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements :

• Bachelor's in STEM field.

Desired Skills :

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and participation in agile teams, with experience in sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
