Responsibilities
Noblis MSD is hiring a Database Engineer to support the Universal Action Tracker (UAT) and Knowledge Management Center within NAVSEA 05 in Washington, DC. This position will be responsible for assisting NAVSEA 05 engineers with the development and maintenance of the UAT product for NAVSEA 05 engineers. Interact with leadership and staff to capture action item program requirements and ensure that the UAT user interface is operational for searching and report extraction. Utilize Power BI platform applications and NAVSEA databases to program applications that can track the status of an engineering action in real time. Other facets of the job include creating and maintaining a Knowledge Management Center to archive Surface Ship Design information that will connect to a central repository of engineering documentation. This position will work with outside organizations, and interface with military/civilian leadership.

While this is a hybrid position candidates need to be local to the Washington, DC Navy Yard to come in as required.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $77,000.00 - USD $120,275.00 /Yr.

Responsibilities:
- Gain/Maintain Access to Various Repositories/Databases
- Provide Regular Updates to Leadership
- Assist with management of Power BI platform applications.
- Assist with further data migration and management of the UAT.
- Assist with the development and management of UAT Website (SharePoint libraries) management and organization.
- Develop dedicated import, export PowerApps/User Interfaces.
- Create variations of both Power BI and Power App front end for different audiences.
- Assist with UAT back-end management and SharePoint Administration.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the Knowledge Management Center
- Interact with Individuals Within and Outside of NAVSEA 05
- Update Digital Resources as Necessary or as Requested
While this is a hybrid position candidates need to be local to the Washington, DC Navy Yard to come in as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least three years of technical experience
- Extensive knowledge in Power Apps and Power BI development
- Knowledge of database programming and user interface development
- Experience with creating and maintaining a central repository of data that is digitally archived, searchable, and extractable
- Experience creating and editing visualizations and Power BI Reports
- Ability to integrate Power Automate with SharePoint, Outlook, and Power Apps
- US Citizen with a DoD Secret or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret
Desired Qualifications
- Computer science or programming degree
- Experience with Power FX programming language
- Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) Certification
- Power Platform App Maker Certification
- Knowledge of NMCI computer limitations
- Previous employment within NAVSEA or Naval engineering command
- Knowledge of Navy engineering processes and programs and the ability to speak with engineers
