TMC Technologies is in search of a System Administrator with deep experience in Linux to support our Federal client. The System Administrator will provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services. This position is considered to be a remote position; however, staff may be required to support face-to-face meetings with the business line or end users. There is potential for face-to-face SAFe ceremonies on occasion. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess an active Secret clearance to start due to federal contract requirements.
The System Administrator will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands.
- Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting
- Ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users.
- Analyze security requirements (Compliance, Standards, etc.) and applying latest security patches to ensure that each resource or system has the proper resources allocated to it.
- Ensure tasks and deliverables are in accordance with the statement of work and service level agreement.
- Monitor delivery performance and quality using metrics and status reporting.
- Communicate across multiple stakeholders to manage expectations, accountability and impact.
Job Requirements
- US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance required
- 7+ years of experience in upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of Linux systems required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required. Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree
- Experience in Linux/RHEL System Administration/Installation (reviewing logs, system documentation) required
• Experience in Tomcat, Applications management and operating system upgrades required
• Experience in supporting AWS infrastructure implementation/administration (Services like AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, EFS, RDS, S3, Management Service (KMS), ELB, Auto Scaling, Security groups, ACL, Cloud Trail and Cloud Watch) required
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and expertise on following tools (Grafana, Splunk, PEGA, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Bit Bucket)
- Prior experience in Scaled Agile (SAFe) development
