Our work depends on a Systems Administrator Expert - Disaster Recovery joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR EXPERT - DISASTER RECOVERY MAKE AN IMPACT:
• Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure including managing servers, ensuring system availability and implementing solutions to improve system performance and security. Expertise in Backup Configuration and Monitoring.
• Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
• Oversees and reviews the testing and implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected.
• Facilitates the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan.
• Assists in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption planning across mainframe and client server platforms.
• Develops, manages and tests backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all platforms.
• Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
• Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services.
• Participates in disaster recover drills and business continuity planning.
• May assist in the development of IT policies and procedures.
• May serve as a team lead. May manage project timelines, budgets and resources.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $158,846 - $214,910. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education:
- Master's Degree (substitutions will be based on additional years of experience)
• Required Experience:
- 15+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills:
- Demonstated System Administration, IT Systems and Infrastructure, IT Maintenance, Backup and Disaster Recovery, IT System Monitoring, Technical Documentation
• Security Clearance Level:
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Possess Q or TS level clearance (or their equivalency) with the ability to obtain a Q level clearance
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain such clearance as a condition of employment
• Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem Solving, Communication, and Teamwork.
