Patriot Group International Inc. is actively seeking candidates interested in a full time, non-exempt employment opportunities for cleared and experienced Construction Surveillance Technicians (CST) on a federal government construction project in Southern Maryland.
Job Description:
Hours of Operation: Must be able to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
Job Description:
- Observe and interact with construction workers to preclude the introduction of electronic, electrical, mechanical, or any other type of hostile surveillance monitoring devices into finished construction.
- Screen all equipment, materials, and furnishings destined for use in the controlled construction area, using X-ray machines and any and all other methods of examination as outlined in the CSP and approved by the government.
- Maintain daily logs during tour of duty to be submitted to the SSM.
- Attend training in the operation of the proposed inspection equipment.
- Write detailed reports in English and complete the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations which require staff action.
- Become thoroughly knowledgeable of customer security procedures and the level of security required in various parts of the facility under construction.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have a U.S. Secret (S) Clearance.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas of expertise: construction security surveillance, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, industrial or government security involving counterintelligence, construction quality assurance, or hands-on construction experience.
- Have completed or be willing to complete a Construction Surveillance Technician Course.
- Capable of independent decision-making, possess a high degree of individual initiative, and able to function with minimal supervision.
- Knowledgeable of construction disciplines, to include civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles.
- Capable of reading and analyzing designs and blueprints and recognizing the architect’s intended use.
- Capable of analyzing designs and structural complexities intended to mask an ulterior purpose not intended by the architect.
- Have knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance.
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours
- Able to work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold
- Able to walk up to one half mile across uneven surfaces at construction site
- Able to bend forward at the waist and knees
- Able to climb stairs
