Position Description

DON Pathways Internship Program You will serve as a Student Trainee (Engineering) in the Fleet Readiness Center East. Incumbents will be assigned to various Engineering areas within the Fleet Support Teams (FST).

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will gather pertinent data through methods including, but not limited to, file research, physical data collection, anecdotal information gathering, and print and online literature searching.
  • You will manipulate collected data into usable information for decision making.
  • You will work collaboratively and effectively with the larger workforce (artisans, logisticians, engineers, fleet representatives, manufacturer representatives, and other production support personnel) to solve problems and complete tasks.
  • You will prepare physical calculations to be used in support of engineering decisions.
  • You will develop technical data and compile into usable format for the customer.
