JOB LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential job functions for this role involve the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of security systems within the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) framework. This includes overseeing the complete life-cycle of these systems, from initial installation to their development, testing, and Qualification Test and Evaluation (QT&E) activities conducted at Test Area C-3. The candidate must have a comprehensive and detailed understanding of IBDSS technologies, which encompass a range of critical security components such as: Command and Control (C2) Systems, Detection Systems, Assessment/Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, and Delay/Denial Systems. These security systems integrate a diverse range of sensor platforms and technologies, each contributing unique capabilities to the overall defense strategy. Key sensor types and technologies include: Buried Line Sensors (BLS), Passive and Active Infrared, Microwave, Optical various types of Fence-Mounted Detection Systems. The candidate must possess an in-depth knowledge of these systems' technologies, including their operation, integration, and troubleshooting.
GENERAL DUTIES:
OTHER DUTIES: Must have strong hardware & software computer skills, knowledgeable with various windows operating systems and proficient with networking protocol. Must possess a good operational knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and power meters. Will assist in mission operations, as required. Will be required to work overtime and weekends as needed. May be required to perform housekeeping duties to assigned work areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be a technical or service school graduate with five years applicable experience. Must maintain a high degree of technical proficiency in the specialized area of expertise. Required to have formal training or equivalent experience in installation and operation of Air Force accepted annunciator systems and approved security systems.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. Travel can be required in support of worldwide Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) program for new base security systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work assignments can be both indoor and outdoor under various environmental conditions. Extremes can be experienced from Black Flag heat index to below zero freezing temperatures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will be required to lift, pull and or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements.

- This position requires a high level of interpersonal skill, and the ability to handle very sensitive, proprietary and sometimes confidential situations and information.
- Candidate should be familiar with and be able to interpret requirements documents including but not limited to: AF 31-101, Air Force Security Systems Siting Criteria, Request for Test documents, and vendor provided manuals and technical literature.
- The candidate must be capable of independently identifying and diagnosing any malfunctions or anomalies within the system or sensors.
- Additionally, they should be able to take proactive measures to resolve any system deficiencies or issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in ensuring the system operates efficiently and effectively.
- The ideal candidate will possess the initiative and technical expertise to address these challenges without requiring direct supervision, ensuring continuous system performance and reliability.
