Position Description:

Determine hardware, software, system specifications, and configuration requirements.
Perform patching, system fixes, and ensure compliance of all assigned systems.
Plan, install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, and client products across multiple networks.
Provide support for users in areas including account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.
Required Education and Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, NTP, CA, GPO, and related core infrastructure components in an enterprise environment.
Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications (SCVMM, Hyper-V, WSUS, SCDPM, SCOM, etc.).
Ability to identify and implement automation solutions to eliminate repetitive tasks.
Experience configuring and implementing iSCSI, CIFS/SMB3, and NFS protocols.
Proficient in scripting and/or programming (PowerShell, VB Script, BASH, Ansible, or similar).
Experience working with Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs), Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV), Logical Interfaces (LIFs), RAID DP, aggregates, and volumes.
Strong experience deploying and managing Hyper-V host clusters using System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
Expertise in deploying and maintaining Microsoft Failover Clustering.
Required Clearance:

Active/valid DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (DCID 6/4 eligibility); applicant must maintain clearance in active/valid status.
Clearance investigation close date must be no older than 5 years and 6 months at the time of application.
Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
Required Certification:

Active/valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification (Security+); applicant must maintain certification currency.
Preferred Qualifications:

Practical experience configuring and implementing iSCSI, CIFS/SMB3, and NFS protocols, scripting and/or programming (PowerShell, VB Script, BASH, Ansible, etc.).
Experience supporting and implementing Cisco UCS B and C series servers, including advanced service profile templates, iSCSI SAN boot, configuring Fabric Interconnects, RBAC, and resource pools.
Skilled in using Cisco data-center tools to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware issues. Ability to write basic scripts to automate actions within Cisco UCS Manager.
Experience identifying and implementing automation to eliminate repetitive tasks.
Practical experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) deployment and maintenance, specifically with Hyper-V servers and guests.
Familiarity with MS SQL server solutions, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and networking (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls).
Experience working with third-party vendors on Blade Servers, NAS/SAN technology, Linux Automation, and PowerShell scripting during development/troubleshooting.
Proficient in developing technical documentation.
Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods.
Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
Must have mobility to bend, reach, and kneel as necessary to complete daily tasks efficiently.
Walking moderate to long distances may be required due to the work site location and parking arrangements.
Work Environment:

Office setting, predominantly sedentary physical effort, though may include lifting up to 30 pounds.
No unusual hazards or environmental conditions at the job site.
Must comply with DoD and USAF COVID-19 mitigation measures.
Equipment and Machines:

Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computers, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, and other work-related tools as required.
Attendance:

This position supports an operational work center providing 18-hour coverage during the standard Monday-Friday workweek.
Shift work may be required on a rotational or permanent basis based on mission needs.
Regular attendance during scheduled hours is important to meet deadlines and meetings.
Flexibility to adjust work hours for surge situations based on critical mission requirements is required.

Independent personal transportation to the work site is required.
Travel to customer locations may be necessary to support projects, which may involve air travel. Personal vehicle usage may be an option for travel if necessary. When operating a vehicle for work purposes, seat belts must be worn, and mobile devices should not be used while the vehicle is in motion.
