Cyber Engineer
Candidate must have a TS-SCI-FSP and be willing to work in Herndon, VA.
Program Description:
ALKU’s Client is Prime a multi-award IDIQ that has just been awarded a new task order focusing on cyber consulting and services for their customer environment as well as team projects.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Consults with internal customer/clients regarding cybersecurity policies, requirements, and solutions.
Conducts unclassified research on a variety of topics and prepares cybersecurity best practices documents for the customer’s workforce. In addition, as part of a team, the incumbent will research and prepare hardening guides, other best practices documents, and assist in preparing customer awareness and education events/products.
Works with the customer to provide cybersecurity guidance on mission enabling programs/projects. Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements, and measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's and 2+ years of related experience
Demonstrated experience engineering and deploying IT capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently, and complete problem resolution for technical issues.
Demonstrated record of sound judgment and problem-solving skills necessary to make recommendations to Customer management.
Demonstrated working knowledge of information security policies and regulations.
Experience hardening cyber defenses
Vulnerability scanning experience
