Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect
Location: McLean, VA
Position Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to support the development and maintenance of
mission-critical applications in the Sponsor's cloud environment. The role involves designing,
implementing, and maintaining innovative solutions that optimize operational efficiency and
enable workflow processes for internal and partner organizations. The ideal candidate will have
extensive experience with cloud technologies, application development, and agile
methodologies.
Responsibilities
The Cloud Solutions Architect will:
Collaborate with application teams to prioritize tasks under the direction of the Sponsor’s
project manager.
Design and develop web-based applications in the cloud environment.
Provide implementation, design, and enhancement support for new and existing
applications.
Analyze user needs to develop and optimize software solutions.
Design, test, debug, and ensure quality assurance of applications.
Perform database analysis and development for applications, either individually or as part
of a team.
Implement modern microservices-oriented solutions for high-profile mission-enabling
applications.
Support IT modernization efforts across the Sponsor’s portfolio as required.
Required Skills
All required skills must be reflected in the applicant's experience for consideration:
1. Proficiency in developing applications using SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
2. Experience with relational databases.
3. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
4. Hands-on experience using the React framework.
5. Development experience in a cloud environment.

7. Proficiency in agile development methodologies.
8. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment, manage changes,
assess impacts, and recommend solutions.
9. Experience with authentication and authorization processes.

11. Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for data.
12. Proficiency in data analytics and visualization.
13. Experience developing dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
Desired Skills
1. Familiarity with the Sponsor's networks, systems, and services.
2. Experience with scalable computing, relational database services, load balancing, key
management systems, autoscaling, and storage services.
3. Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and SQL.
4. Experience developing system prototypes and proofs of concept.
5. Familiarity with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins.
6. Experience providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support to production
systems.
7. Expertise in full-stack development.
8. Proficiency in developing REST services.
9. Possession of Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications or other relevant
certifications.
