Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets.
Peraton has a need for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to support our customer mission. If you are interested in putting your automation testing skills to work transforming government agencies, you will be tasked to work side by side with other engineers supporting a complex product with customers across the United States.
What you will do:
The selected candidate will lead and maintain the existing automation framework, understand and integrate with existing release pipelines, and develop new automated solutions for newly implemented changes to the test application. In addition, candidate will help integrate with various tools and processes to support the mission.

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

What you will do:
The selected candidate will lead and maintain the existing automation framework, understand and integrate with existing release pipelines, and develop new automated solutions for newly implemented changes to the test application. In addition, candidate will help integrate with various tools and processes to support the mission.
- Provide functional testing for all system level and application level enhancement across environment
- Provide expertise and support in the development and enhancement of business software systems.
- Support formal systems acceptability test, release validation and maintain relevant documentation including problem definition reports.
- Conduct testing on all system level and application specific changes prior to transmittal to enterprise environment(s).
- Create and manage all SIT defects and follow through to their resolution in IBM ELM
- Provide training to agency personnel to familiarize them with the functionality of the software.
- Create and maintain Test Cases and Test Case traceability mappings to verify functionalities have met stated requirements during testing of the application.
- Provide development support and project level testing of the application functionalities through defect resolution.
- Support Systems Testing, including knowledge transfer to the agency personnel as necessary

- Provide Systems Acceptability Test and Problem Definition Reporting Support
- Acquire domain knowledge through the testing process and understanding the end-to-end flow
- Attend Agile ceremonies as required including daily standup
- Escalate issues and questions as appropriate to Testing Leads/Project Managers
- Develop and publish Testing-related reports
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience. Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
- Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong understanding of automation concepts and approaches.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining test automation scripts (UI/API/DB based) using java, TestNG, Selenium, and maven.
- Experience working with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Github etc.)
- Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools such as Jira, Rally etc.
- Must have worked on SQL, TOAD/SQL Developer, Selenium technologies.
- Contribute to Automation Frameworks, and automate test cases ensuring comprehensive automation-coverage
- Experience API microservice applications testing using Soap UI
- Good experience in validating XML/XML Schema and writing in XML related languages such as XPath
- Understand and utilize risk-based testing technique
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Federal agency experience is a plus
- Active public trust clearance
