Title: Facility Security Officer (A/FSO) and Alternate Contractor Security Office (A/CSO)
Type: Part-time/ Hybrid Schedule (32.5 hours per week)
Location: Herndon, VA
BTI360 is looking for a highly motivated individual to serve as an Alternate Facility Security Officer (A/FSO) and Alternate Contractor Security Office (A/CSO). This individual will be responsible for program security for BTI360’s Department of Defense (DoD) contracts and Intelligence Community (IC) contracts while ensuring compliance with government agencies, company security policies and procedures, and providing security advice, guidance, and risk mitigations to all levels of BTI360 Leadership.
Responsibilities
You will report to the Director of Security and assist with the following:
Partner and collaborate with all areas of the business to support security activities
Interface with and build relationships with key customers, which may involve direct onsite support
Enter and reconcile teammate data and information into the system of record
Provide oversight and maintenance of document control inventories for teammate security information
Develop and provide briefings/debriefings to personnel for activities such as: new hires, annual trainings, and terminations
Author and maintain security operational plans for program implementation
Process security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations (DoD and IC)
Provide status updates & metrics on the completion of security paperwork and clearance submissions
Handle Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and reports sensitive adverse information to a multitude of different government customers
Interface with background investigators who are required to interview teammates, sub-contractors, and consultants for periodic reinvestigations
Implement compliance-based changes to existing company security procedures, as needed
Assist with the development of security operations plans
Provide checks and balances on document control, personnel and combination records for Secure Space
Respond to after-hours alarms and emergency conditions, as needed
Perform courier duties in the local area, as needed
Assist in other security areas as needed for inspections, events, and special activities
Perform administrative and general office duties including light contract reviews and data call support, as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), 32 CFR part 117, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEAD)
Proficient in DoD DISS/NBIS, NISS, SWFT, eQIP/eAPP
Knowledge of OPSEC requirements; classified and sensitive FOUO, CUI information
Must have current/maintain TS/SCI clearance (polygraph preferred)
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications skills
Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Must have the ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions on a daily basis
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Candidates with a 4 plus years’ experience in Industrial Security, preferred
