As the FORGE C2 Subcontracts Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing all subcontracts for the program, to include subcontractor execution cost, schedule, and technical compliance.

The Space Systems Strategic Business Unit unites space activities under one umbrella and collaborative environment: Civil Space, National Space, and Military Space.

What You'll Do:
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage assigned subcontracts to perform to each project`s specifications, quality, budget, schedule and earned value requirements to include the timely delivery of all deliverables required to fulfill the subcontract.
  • Act as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
  • Authors, manages and influences critical path releases of Statements of Works (SOWs) and plans to align with required schedules and subcontractor lead times.
  • Develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution.
  • Participate in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company, as it pertains to the planned outsourced portion of the project(s).
  • Establish milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
  • Oversee and coordinate programmatic and technical interfaces between BAE Systems and the Subcontractor.
  • Develop Subcontract Management Plan and execute to it.
  • Day-to-Day oversight of Subcontractor activity in support of BAE Systems.
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing overall performance of the Subcontractor.
  • Provides recurring status reports, and briefings on subcontractor performance, risks, and opportunities to PM, IPT, ISC SSU and/or external customer, as appropriate.
  • Subcontractor EVA/EVM oversight; coordinated with finance to track, manage, mitigate, and report budget variances.
  • Support proposal and negotiation strategy development.
  • Proactive Risk and Opportunity assessment, mitigation, and management
  • Identify and recommend refinements of program and SBU acquisition behaviors to improve procurement processes.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • BS/BA in related field plus 8 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active Secret security clearance is required plus ability to attain TS/SCI.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and c hange management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage.
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate as a team.
  • Organized with good communication and time management skills highly desired.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504.000 - $201457.000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
