Position Overview
By Light is hiring a Voice Engineer - Journeyman to work in Tampa, FL. The Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise for daily operations and maintenance of systems; Effectively troubleshooting, isolating, and resolving technical problems to minimize system downtime; Assisting with preparing and maintaining technical documentation, drawings and related artifacts; Support implementation of routine updates, approved upgrades and engineering or design changes; and Help to isolate and resolve technical issues and problems that impact multiple networks, systems, and devices..
This position will require a candidate open to "Panama Shift" work in a 24x7x365 environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Video support with extensive experience with configuring and troubleshooting VoIP solutions for an enterprise network.
- Must have experience with applying VoIP protocols, VoIP codec, session boarder controller (SBC), and Unified Computing System (UCS) on an enterprise network.
- Willingness to cross train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment including SATCOM, Network, VDI/Virtualization.
- Support the system adherence to industry standards, DOD standards, DOD policies, DOD instructions, DOD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.
- Utilize ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities.
- Provide technical problem resolution for a wide range of voice/network infrastructure problems or anomalies.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
- CCNA required
- Education: HS Diploma and 5+ years of experience
