The Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division (ESED) is a component of Corona Division, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). ESED performs full spectrum life cycle engineering and test support to verify the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of Expeditionary Warfare systems. The primary function of ESED is to provide In-Service Engineering and Test and Evaluation for the Department of Defense (DoD). As part of this function, ESED conducts test operations at regional Southern California ranges such as Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and at multiple DoD ranges across the United States. This task sets forth the requirements for technical services related to testing to include test planning, test execution, test support, test operations and associated logistics. These services are in support of a wide variety of systems across their life cycle, which include ESED's main focus areas such as Arms, Ammunition, Explosives, Weapons Systems, and associated platforms utilized by the Expeditionary Warfare community. ESED's secondary focus areas such as Sensors and Communications, Mobility Platforms, Systems Integration, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment with unique military applications; and other new or existing systems that require independent testing for Expeditionary Warfare.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Key and Vehicle Control Specialist will support the Inventory Control Manager in managing an Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) Key and Lock Control inventory and GSA vehicular support at Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona, Detachment Fallbrook. They will provide inventory management, scheduling of key usage (AA&E and GSA vehicle), and scheduling GSA vehicle maintenance at the Fallbrook operating site on the Test Operations Support Services (TOSS) contract. This position is located in Fallbrook, CA.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor and maintain keys and combinations to AA&E storage areas.
  • Conduct periodic inventory of keys and combinations related to AA&E storage areas, as well as those personnel listed for access.
  • Coordinate with government AA&E Officer.
  • Maintain vehicle keys, vehicle maintenance logs, check in/check out logs.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, personal protective equipment, and material inventories; and notify the Inventory Manager or Project/Program Manager on shortfalls and compiling documentation to support procurement.
  • Support vehicle check in/check out procedures.
  • Offload and on load from trucks and other transportation methods.
  • Offer supply support which includes inspection, tagging, labeling, inventorying, shipping and issuing using established processed and procedures.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • Three - Five (3-5) years of experience working with OPNAVINST 5530.13D, Key, Combination and Lock control requirements.
  • Three (3) years experience managing/de-conflicting vehicle inventory, operations and maintenance schedules.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • 8+ years experience working with OPNAVINST 5530.13D, Key, Combination and Lock Control Requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the US Navy/US Marine Corps governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclatures, work methods, manuals, or other established guidance and/or an understanding of the needs of the organization's service.
