Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of cloud environments for HLT tool deployments.
• Improves artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) tools and other applications in the client's work environment, such as machine translation, speech or text recognition, input methods, keyboard/swipe technology, advancing searching, and other areas of human-machine interactions related to languages.
• Provide project based technical support.
• Facilitate unit and enterprise-wide technology rollouts.
• Train machine learning (ML) models for the creation of MT and natural language processing (NLP) models.
• Assist with troubleshooting foreign language content issues related to triage, translation, transcription, interpretation, and localization.
• Validate new features in CAT Tool Translation Memory (TM) Servers and HLT Tools.
• Manage Translation Memories (TM).
• Identify commercial tools for employment.
• Automate file analysis, parsing, and filtering.
• Write scripts and/or macros in various program languages to automate repetitive tasks.
• Prepare file types for localization process (including re-coding and script writing).
• Provide estimates on projects.
• Work closely with technology provides to:
o Collect requirements from stakeholders and users.
o Provide documentation and training to users.
o Define new features and improvements to Software Products.
o Provide test cases for Quality Assurance.
o Report and test fixes for bugs found by users.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of on-the-job experience in the HLT field PLUS
• 4 years professional full-time experience using
o Adobe Suite
o Computer-Assisted Translation
o Desktop Publishing
o Microsoft Office tools and application
• Localization engineering experience.
• Translation Memory Server experience.
Must be able to pass the Translation Assessment test (Mandarin to English).
