Requirements

• 2 years' experience in an IT / Software environment or a bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or relevant technical field
• Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hire
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Desired Skills

• Expert knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience with backup and restore utilities and procedures
• Experience with driver installation and troubleshooting
• Experience writing test plans, test reports, technical manuals and training material
• Experience performing test plans and documenting results
• Experience downloading and installing Windows patches to maintain security posture
• Experience with Software Baseline Management
• Experience with VRAM
• Experience with software configuration management processes

Description

• Reviewing and applying all mandatory software updates as necessary to maintain our security posture
• Monitoring VRAM for hits against our image and remediate as much as possible
• Assisting the software team with issue resolution and software testing
• Re-imaging computer assets before issue to the fleet
• Proactively engaging with configuration management to maintain configuration control of all software baselines
• Verifying and testing Mandatory Security Updates (MSUs) and documenting the results
• Drafting MSU release messages for the fleet
• Configuring our existing software baselines to align with new hardware is it becomes available
