INNOVIM Defense Services is seeking a Windows System Administrator to join our team in supporting the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) program at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Under this contract, INNOVIM Defense Services supports the development, implementation, sustainment, and operations of enclaves and systems that support missile defense training, events, analysis, and operations. The Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) is a highly virtualized environment with traditional hardware equipment.
Primary duty hours fall between 0800 (MT) and 1700 (MT) with periodic shift work (and on-call) required to assist with after-hours maintenance activities. This position is onsite at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
The Windows System Administrator will:
Design, implement, and sustain MS Windows based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center.
Work closely with a team of engineers, including additional system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the MDA/SS Government customer.
Perform administration of Microsoft servers and including troubleshooting, break fix activities, the patching and remediation of servers, workstations and network devices, and system audit log reviews as required.
Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and restoral, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations.
Develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation.
Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.
Qualifications:
Must have active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
HS diploma (or GED) and 8-10 years of general experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6-8 years of general experience
Experience design and implementation of Group Policy
Microsoft WSUS/SCCM experience
Proficient installing, patching, configuring and troubleshooting MS Windows servers and workstations including associated peripherals
Strong technical writing and verbal communications skills
Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with supervision
In addition to the above, our ideal candidate will have:
Experience working in a Virtualized Environment
Experience installing and maintaining Horizon VDI solution
Back up / CommVault Experience
