INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts in support of the Modernization and Installation Department (N Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD).
Reporting to the Program Manager, the LCS Mission Module Engineer will provide Fleet Strike Group support to the LCS Mission Module In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) to include hardware and software engineering, installation and modernization, system integration, testing, data collection and analysis, review and update specifications, Test and Evaluation, and writing reports on behalf of the Sensors, Weapons and Launchers Department (E Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD) on the CVN/L-Class Support Services contract. This position is located in Port Hueneme, CA.

What You'll Do
- Perform engineering analysis, assessments, investigations, and evaluations for combat, weapon, network, and ancillary systems aboard Navy LCS platforms and laboratories.
- Provide support for the development, review, and update of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, analysis, and post event reporting.
- Develop, update, test, and validate hardware or software procedures, processes, and technical documents used by the ISEA, Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF), primary production contractor, and shipboard personnel to support assessments, installations, and embark or debark events. Technical documentation includes: Drawings, Technical Manuals (TM), Standard Operating Procedures, Maintenance Requirement Card (MRC), Combat System Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS), Allowance Parts List/Allowance Equipment List (APL/AEL).
- Respond to Casualty Reports (CASREP), Fleet Tech Assists (FTA) and provide Distance Support (DS) as required.
- Go onboard ships and visit laboratories to operate and maintain or modernize systems and equipment.
- Provide test support for Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Combat Systems Ships Qualification and Test (CSSQT) to include Surface Warfare (SUW) Mission Modules (MM).
- Provide support for Availability planning and execution, and other related ISEA functions for SUW MM.
- Provide support for Working Intergraded Product Team (WIPT) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
- Develop and update Non-Permanent Changes (NPC), Deviations From Specification (DFS), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) as required.
- Provide support for design and production of combat and weapon system equipment.
- Provide support for LCS MPSF such as planning, maintenance, testing and embark or debark of mission modules.
- Provide support for Reliability Engineering (RE), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
- Conduct Mission Module training for ship personnel, contractors and instructors.
- Assist with the development of training curriculum.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is required.
- Five - seven (5-7) years of experience providing combat systems test, engineering, or integration support services.
- Ability to travel and work aboard ship.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan workload and meet established deadlines.
- The individual must be able to clearly and concisely articulate technical subject matter both written and verbally.
- Be comfortable presenting work progress and status presentations in meetings with Senior Program personnel.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan, coordinate and execute project activities on schedule.
- Ability to effectively brief senior level Navy personnel.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as in performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities.
- Travel Required ~10% travel required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's Degree and/or 10 years of experience in a related field demonstrating the ability to complete the required tasks above.
- Possess a working knowledge of the various LCS Mission Modules to include Gun Mission Module (GMM), Surface-to-Surface Missile Module (SSMM), Maritime Security Module (MSM), and Surface Warfare (SUW) Mission Package (MP).
- Possess strong self-initiative and ability to multi-task.
- Be able to work both independently and on a team in a highly dynamic and challenging environment.
