Job Title: Action Officer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified individuals to join our team, in APG, MD. In this role, you will be providing crucial support to senior leadership, working as part of a Senior Action Group. Successful candidates will have a proven track record as staff or action officers, bringing strategic thinking and organizational skills to the forefront.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of high-priority tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring that critical actions and tasks are communicated effectively and acted upon promptly.
  • Provide regular briefings and written updates to senior leadership regarding the status of ongoing actions, ensuring transparency and clarity on progress.
  • Utilize Task Management Tool (TMT/ETMSII) to create, track, and manage tasks, ensuring that all actions are properly assigned, prioritized, and updated throughout their lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the TMT/ETMSII system, ensuring that all users have proper access and that tasks are accurately reflected in the system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks through the ETMSII system.
  • Monitor and report on task status, providing regular updates to senior leadership and ensuring all actions are completed on schedule

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • This position requires 5 days a week in-office
  • Full understanding of (TMT) task management tracker AKA. (ETMSII) Electronic Task Management system II
  • Experience as an action officer, preferably at the Pentagon or within a command action group.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and briefing capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of military policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.
  • Background as a logistics officer (90-series) is highly desirable.
