Summary:
SYSTOLIC is seeking talented software engineers to fill an immediate need to support a software engineering team. This high-performing team of software developers, software engineers, and systems engineers is developing and enhancing the geolocation infrastructure supporting the warfighter. This team does much more than software development. They modernize legacy capabilities, integrate products, implement automation efficiencies, and support operational systems. They challenge their team members to think outside the box for innovative solutions and help each other grow their skills.
Qualifications and Compensation:
● Candidates with 14+ years of experience will earn approximately $273,000 per year.
● Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar degree from an accredited university.
● Candidates may substitute 4 additional years of experience in place of a degree.
Day-to-Day Tasks
● Software development of new or enhancement of existing capabilities predominately using Java
● Java development for new or existing applications
● Provide Tier III Support for deployed capabilities and address bug fixes
● Test and debug software code for network connected systems
● Perform integration and testing as needed
● Collaborate with a team of Software and Systems engineers in an Agile environment to analyze requirements, derive user stories, track issues, and create user documentation
● Provide status and update tickets
Required Skills:
● Experience with Java development
● Experience with JMS
● Database experience such as Mongo or MySQL
● Experience developing scalable solutions, applicable to both large- and small-scale platforms
● Experience working on teams of software developers and integrators
Desired Skills:
● Experience with containers (i.e., Docker and/or Kubernetes)
● Experience with Java development IDEs (e.g. IntelliJ, Eclipse)
● Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
● Experience with Git and/or Gitlab
● Experience with Gradle
