ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional and service-oriented Aviation Ground Support Equipment Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
*Important Note* : Selected candidates without an ACTIVE German/E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the first 60 days in a Temporary role while obtaining their VisaOnce an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a Full-Time German Contract . If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inspects, repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion engines, hydraulic cylinders, fuel pumps, fuel/hydraulic lines, voltage regulators and generators used in aviation ground support equipment.
- Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as motors, bearings, or other engine parts; adjusting valves; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
- Maintenance support including operations of powered and non-powered units, system troubleshooting, engineering, analysis, maintenance and repair of commercial and military aviation ground support systems and subsystems to the component level.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical power support systems by verifying proper fuel, lubricants and coolant levels.
- Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
- Maintains and prepares records and documentation to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered.
- 6+ years of qualified maintenance experience.
- Qualified experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, ground power units, aircraft tugs, air conditioning and heater units, cargo loaders, de-icing vehicles, runway sweepers, light carts, fuel and defuel equipment required.
- Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools and multimeters.
- Must be able to read/interpret manufacturer drawings, schematics, specifications, operating instructions, and testing procedures to calibrate, troubleshoot and repair highly complex powered support equipment.
- Must be able to meet all government Individual Replacement Deployment Operations (IRDO) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Possession of a valid European or German driver's license is required (OR) the ability to obtain a valid driving license before beginning employment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Possession of an existing German or European Work VISA.
- Experience with commercial and military aviation ground support equipment.
- Competent with maintenance documentation, Word, and Excel programs.
- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain aPublic Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
