Tyto Athene is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician to support our customer in West Mifflin, PA
Responsibilities:
* Capable of performing PBX and cabling troubleshooting.
* Day-to-day moves, adds and changes of telephones.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Experienced in assessing user needs, translating those needs to identify the nature of the trouble and applying skills to rectify the issue.
* Demonstrates general knowledge and proficiency with computing and/or telecommunications technologies.
* Install, maintain, and support voice and data end points, circuits, and telecommunications' systems. Responsible for performing telephone activities in telecommunication distribution rooms and user areas.
* Install operating station equipment (telephones, etc.) at the end user's location.
* Install distribution frame patches and disconnects in telecommunication distribution rooms.
* Test and verify telephone cable connections. Repair or replace faulty cables and connectors.
Required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in advance troubleshooting and system maintenance of a PBX.
* Possess computer skills with Microsoft products such as Outlook, etc.
* Working knowledge of routers and switches is preferred.
* Working knowledge of telephony, UC, VoIP and SIP.
* Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously is required.
* Must be a US citizen.
* Ability to work flexible/extended hours to include on call rotation is required.
* Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required.
* A valid driver's license is required.
* Current Secret or higher security clearance.
Desired:
* Experience with the US Federal Government.
* Experience with the Avaya Communication Manager and NEC PBX platforms is a plus.

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance Required
Compensation:
• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $60K-$70K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
