Solidus is searching for Linux Infrastructure Engineers.
In this role you will work on a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, for a large project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The skills for this need will include someone who is very familiar with the Linux Operating systems, preferably versions of OEL 7/9 and can work through the OS configuration and optimization for these environments which would involve a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.
This position is located in Aurora, CO. Candidates must be able to work on-site.
Day in the Life:
- Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) Operating System for the project.
- Support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effort.
- Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system.
- Assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments.
- Assist engineers with OEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices.
What you will bring:
- US Citizenship and an Active TS/SCI
- BS in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Background in on premise infrastructure design data center systems
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues.
- Experience with RHEL 6.0+ infrastructure development, implementation, and optimization for an enterprise Design.
PreferredExperience:
- Interfacing with customers and users at a customer's site
- Network designs and implementation
- SAN/NAS designs and implementation
- Windows Platforms and implementation
- Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments
- Extensive Windows OS development and deployment experience
- Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)
- Agile development lifecycle
- Atlassian tool suite
- SAFe agile processes
- Knowledge of Enterprise Application development and deployment processes
- Security+ certification
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $118,000 - $166,000. Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
