Job Description
GDIT is seeking a CMMI Project Manager to support the Hosting, Operations and Maintenance (HOM) services of the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) project with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) program.
HIGLAS is a very large, complex system with approximately 3,000 total users, processing an average of 4.5 million transactional claim records per day which equates to over 1.2 billion annually. Utilizing Oracle Federal Financials as the base application of HIGLAS provides CMS with a uniform financial management system to account for over $1 Trillion in outlays for healthcare each year across multiple lines of business.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Job Description

How the CMMI Project Manager will make impact:
- Manage and lead the HIGLAS program in the preparation and readiness for the next CMMI L4 assessment (v2.0) including the standardization and governance of the software lifecycle and project management processes.
- Serve as the CMMI Project Manager for the HIGLAS Program to lead and drive the overall preparation and readiness for CMMI L4 and L5 appraisal (V2.0).
- Work with the HIGLAS Agile and QA/Compliance teams to understand the Agile processes for the applications development and evaluate any gaps and remediation for CMMI L4 (V2.0) requirements.
- Drive the remediation efforts and implement the L4 related processes and documentation to establish consistency and repeatability in the software life cycle and management processes across the program teams.
- Facilitate Lessons learned sessions and assist project team members in identifying process weakness and improvements; Work with team leads to implement actions to address process weakness and process improvements.
- Drive the design, development and sustainment of quantitative models which will achieve high maturity (CMMI 2.0) measurement and provide value to the program and customer.
- Identify process training needs; Conceptualize, design, develop and administer process training as needed to the team members
- Along with the Program QA/Compliance team, work as a project POC, to the GDIT ISE organization and coordinate CMMI appraisal activities including, collecting and providing project evidence and preparing the project for external assessment and ensuring successful CMMI (L4 and L5) appraisals
- Actively participate in GDIT ISE team meetings and contribute best practices and improvement suggestions as well leverage best practices from ISE's process assets library
- Responsible for participating in the HOM Risk Management Process through risk and issue identification and resolution
- May require occasional travel (less than 10%)
What you'll need to succeed:
- BA/BS and 5+ years related experience (additional work experience may substitute for degree requirement)
- Program Management (PM) and CMMI L4/L5 experience to manage and maintain CMMI compliance on complex projects across multiple and matrixed teams on the program.
- Experience in implementing or working in an Agile framework.
- Excellent CMMI-compliant process, leadership, organization, analytical and communication skills
Desired:
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform and its Agile management capabilities/tool.
- CMMI Practitioner Certification
