Position: Solaris Systems Administrator
Location: San Diego, CA - on-site 9/80 schedule
Clearance: an active Secret security clearance
Compensation range: $145K-$170K W2, based on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
· Design, implement, configure and maintain Solaris systems for mission-critical applications
· Perform system architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for optimal system performance
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Solaris systems with other infrastructure components
· Develop and maintain documentation for system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures
Technical Skills:
· Operating Systems: Solaris 10 and 11
· Hardware: Sun/Oracle servers, storage, and networking equipment, including SPARC and x86 architectures
· Virtualization: Oracle VM Server for SPARC, Oracle VM Server for x86
· Storage: SAN, NAS, and DAS storage solutions, including Oracle ZFS and Veritas Volume Manager
· Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
· Scripting: Shell scripting, Perl, and Python
· Tools: Oracle Enterprise Manager, Solaris Management Console, and other system management tools
Requirements
· BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience and 10 years of experience
· REQUIRED Current Secret Security Clearance
· REQUIRED Sec + or within 90 days of start
