Overview
Intelligent Waves is seeking a skilled and results-driven Operations Tier II Technician to support a mission-critical DoD and Intelligence Community communications system for our DISA customer. Based in Mechanicsburg, PA, you will provide Tier II oversight of applications, networks, systems, and equipment.
Key responsibilities include system administration, advanced troubleshooting, and hands-on management of applications, networks, and architecture. You will resolve technical issues for a large community of users, escalate complex problems as needed, and conduct software repairs and diagnostics.
Ideal candidates have a proven track record supporting large-scale networks in a 24/7 environment, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with high-volume user support. A Secret clearance is required to start, with an upgrade to Top Secret provided upon contract initiation.

Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting a large-scale full motion video architecture and responding proactively to issues with the application portal and networking backbone.
- Providing internal and external customers with timely, concise, and accurate updates on status, service, issues, and risks.
- Interacting in a technical team environment with software, network and systems engineers
- Identifying documenting, tracking and escalating issues to the Tier III support group as necessary
- Utilizing network related protocols and services as well as LAN/WAN implementation and troubleshooting
- Providing assistance with large scale system and architecture implementation and operational support
- Diagnosing system issues and fault isolation
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Shift rotation is required
Qualifications
- Experience with web-based technologies, Linux/Unix operating systems, and database queue management.
- Knowledge of WAN environments and supporting infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls
- Must have demonstrated rigorous troubleshooting skills on a large systems
- Active Secret level clearance required with an upgrade to Top Secret once on the contract.
