Primary Responsibilities:

• Content Review and Editing: Review intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency. Ensure that style and format conform to agency publication standards and maintain consistency with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
• Formatting and Presentation: Amend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text. Verify proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
• Collaboration and Revisions: Work with authors to revise products for narrative organization and negotiate further revisions as needed. Assist in managing all J2 finished intelligence products approved for external dissemination.
• Research and Analysis: Research and collect information from internal and external stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other sources. Analyze, interpret, cross-check, and edit intelligence products to ensure accuracy and compliance with Intelligence Community (IC) guidance, including but not limited to ICDs 206, 209, 501, and 710.
• Content Development: Organize information, determine optimum methods of presentation, and create content according to plan. Ensure completed materials fulfill the specified purpose and scope.
• Production Oversight: Assist in determining and supervising the production process for completed materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent military or professional experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience as a technical editor, preferably in the Intelligence Community or a related government environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of IC policies and guidelines, including ICDs 206, 209, 501, and 710.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with classified systems and processes.
• Experience with graphic design tools and visualization software to enhance product presentation.
• Training or certification in technical writing or editing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
