Description
Position Title: Unified Communications Administrator
Location: Fort Eisenhower, GA
Clearance Level required: Secret
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Operate and Maintain (O&M) all Fort Eisenhower - Gillem UC services including Voice and Video over Internet Protocol (VVoIP)/Voice and Video over Secure Internet Protocol (VVoSIP) services, Local Session Controller(s) (LSC), Failover Session Controller(s) (FSC), Legacy Voice Gateways, emergency services/E911, ancillary voice services, soft clients, and end-instruments.
• O&M ancillary UC and voice related applications and services such as voicemail, unified messaging, directory assistance, call directory, automated attendant, emergency services / E911 databases and services, Automatic Number Identification (ANI), Automated Location Identification (ALI), element management system(s), Call Admission Control, Congestion Management Capabilities, Multi-Point Call Control, voice and video conferencing, Secure Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP), End-Instrument Management Systems, etc.
• Provide support to UC user account creation, management, adds, moves, changes, and deletions. Support device profile creation, management, adds, moves, changes, and deletions. Support call group creation, management, and deletion.
• Support RMF, accreditation, cybersecurity operations, and vulnerability management for all UC related services and associated systems.
• Provide Tier II support and troubleshooting of incident and problem management trouble tickets related to networking, UC, voice, and voice related services submitted through Enterprise ITSM (such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Support Change Management of UC services including UC related local area network configurations, ICAN transport, LSC, FSC, gateways, ancillary voice services, emergency services/E911, soft clients, and end-instruments. This includes maintaining and requesting changes to baseline configurations, maintaining standard device and user configuration templates, requests for ports, protocols, and services management, and configuration management of emergency services.
• Perform UC session performance monitoring and protocol analysis.
• Integrate, operate, and maintain the UC related configurations and systems supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Chain, and Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) capabilities.
• O&M the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) platform supporting voice.
• Install and O&M the physical cabling and configurations of LSC, SBC, Wide Area Network (WAN) gateways, emergency services gateways, legacy voice end-instrument gateways, and connections to Public Service Telephone Service (PSTN), and Public Service Access Points (PSAP).
• Ensure compliance with Federal, DoD, and Army regulatory guidance and legal compliance. This includes support to all required configurations and support to emergency services, 911/E911, safety phones, and ANI/ALI services in accordance with public law and regulatory guidance.
• Provide touch labor for Session Border Controller (SBC) and Voice Boundary Security, and support Enterprise directed tasks in support of SBC and boundary security as directed from Enterprise UC management administrators.
• Support network transport administration, O&M, and troubleshooting in support of UC services. This includes areas such as extension and O&M of UC and voice related Virtual Local Area Network(s) and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) as required, quality of services configurations and markings, network segregation, and management of standard dedicated Internet Protocol (IP) sub-nets, transport convergence, cybersecurity of transport, logical and physical diversity, Power over Ethernet (POE), and Inside and OSP Support as required.
• Utilize existing enterprise network toolsets for element management, ticketing, transport management, performance monitoring, event management, protocol analysis, log aggregation, packet captures, cybersecurity scanning, cybersecurity queries, host based security system, AAA, etc.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or equivalent.
• Obtains required Full CE certification and DoDM 8140.03 CE/Baseline Certifications prior to task order start. MS Desktop Support Technician or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Maintains industry certifications for vendor specific solutions management in operations at the Fort Eisenhower - Gillem installation; requires industry certifications to O&M Cisco VVoIP services and ancillary UC services and systems such as the Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) LSC; requires Cisco Certified Network Administration (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration certifications.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, and security in a DoD or government setting.
• Limited-Privileged Access.
