Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Apply technical standards and security policy for LAN topologies and components; identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Configure and maintain enterprise network devices (i.e. layer 2 & 3 switches and routers); support and troubleshoot remote network services (VPN).
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support enterprise network devices (i.e. layer 2 & 3 switches and routers). Implement, troubleshoot, and support multiple voice solutions (e.g. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP)), install, troubleshoot, move, and remove analog/VOIP/VoSIP telephones for customers as required.
- Provide local common-user Local Area Network (LAN) and Campus Area Network (CAN) Tier II touch labor (troubleshooting, repairing, patching, etc.).
- Troubleshoot Virtual Private Network (VPN) for remote connections and wireless technologies.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Aruba Wireless devices (802.11b/g/n), Wireless Authentication Protocols (EAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS and EAP-TTLS, etc.) on a heterogeneous network; thorough understanding of network protocols and services (TCP, UDP, IP, STP, CDP, HSRP, DNS, DHCP, VTP, VPN, FTP, TFTP, IAS, VoIP, NAT and Dot1.x).
- Monitor the limited geographic CAN and LAN by utilizing enterprise management software to monitor network performance, analyze network activity, and maintain a high level of network availability. Perform network discovery and conduct fault analysis.
- Provide network utilization reports.
- Manage network equipment/software to include configuration management and capacity management.
- Draft and maintain SOP documents for the functional category.
- Create and maintain network diagrams in Government provided software (e.g. MS Visio, MS Power Point).
Qualifications
- Certifications: OSHA Overview and National Safety Compliance for Safety, and OSHA confined space. Per PWS Table 1, DoD Cyber Workforce Code 441 requires DoD 8140.01 Baseline Certifications of, Basic: CND or Network+; Intermediate: CEH or CFR or Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; or Advanced: CCNA or GCIA or GCLD or GDSA or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP or GCED or GCIH.
- Obtained required DoDM 8140.03 CE/Baseline Certifications prior to task order start. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certifications preferred.
- Elevated/Privileged Access.
