Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide IT systems support for a wide range of Windows-based technologies, including Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy Editor.
- Manage the installation and integration of hardware, system fixes, updates, and enhancements.
- Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex or non-routine issues.
- Write and maintain documentation for supported services, processes, and configurations.
- Maintain relationships with customers with diverse needs and offer solutions tailored to their requirements.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Active Directory Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Implement Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) appliances.
- Review, plan, test, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
- Support the development and maintenance of Operating Systems by ensuring the system's stability and security.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with other IT professionals, contractors, and vendors to optimize the operational capabilities of the systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related scientific discipline (or 6 years of related work experience).
- Two (2) or more years of relative experience in IT system administration or related fields.
- Must possess an active IAT II Cybersecurity Workforce IA Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.).
- Must be able to obtain an Operating System Certificate within 6 months of hire (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and managing Active Directory Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Experience implementing Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) appliances.
- Experience with reviewing, planning, testing, and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software interoperability issues.
- Proficiency with Windows-based technologies, Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Proficiency in operating within a large-scale and complex IT environment.
- Experience with system integrations, updates, and patch management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse customer base.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance prior to starting this position.
- Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance within one (1) year of starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
- Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
- Ability to work in confined spaces or challenging environments as required.
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as printers.
- Must be able to occasionally lift materials or office equipment up to 25 lbs.
