Experis is looking for a Terraform Engineer to support a federal client. This will be a W2 contract and will be a hybrid schedule (2 consecutive days a week, 2x per month). This role also requires an active secret clearance.
Job Description:
Responsible for engineering, optimizing, and configuring Terraform Enterprise. Final Secret Clearance is required for this role. Duties include:
Configure Terraform Enterprise to meet the specific needs of the system to provision and manage infrastructure with two customer owned data centers (non-cloud)
Create Terraform plans and provide best practices to enhance existing Terraform code
Provide design recommendations for making Terraform Enterprise highly available across 2 data centers
Provide recommendations for ensuring that the terraform state is regularly refreshed and issues addressed
Help develop Sentinel policies to restrict individuals from modifying infrastructure outside their authorized environments
Help develop approval workflows for updates to infrastructure
Provide recommendations regarding infrastructure pipelines
Train and support other users on how to use Terraform, and provide application support broadly across multiple teams
Required Skills:
Secret Clearance
· 10+ years of relevant experience
· 5+ years hands on experience with Terraform
· 4+ years of experience in Terraform Enterprise or HCP Terraform
· 5+ years of experience on multiple OS platforms
· Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
· Knowledge of server virtualization technologies, such as VMware
· Familiarity with Microsoft and Red Hat Enterprise Linux server OS
· Excellent communication skills to explain technical information and requirements effectively to leadership and team members
Preferred Skills
· Experience developing standard operating procedures and project documentation
· Knowledge of LAN/WAN network infrastructure technologies
· Knowledge of automation using tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc
· Experience with using vCenter to manage VMware infrastructure
· Experience in SAFe Agile delivery
