DPCP is a WOSB partner for the Product Technical Support Services contract supporting PdM Network Modernization and PdM Mission Network within PM Tactical Network – programs formerly known as Warfighter Information Network-Tactical. The primary location for this work is Augusta, GA with infrequent travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and other tactical equipment locations. Position is 100% on site Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM EST.
Essential Functions:
Perform network systems engineering analysis; Communications Flow (Data/Voice/Video/Telephony); Traffic Analysis; and Network Management Analysis.
Support evaluation of new technologies and perform systems engineering work to determine integration effort, viability, performance and capability gain.
Support system engineering trade-off analysis and provide assessments of various technical approaches from a cost/schedule/performance risk perspective.
Provide support in the development of both preliminary and detailed design of systems, to include performing risk identification, analysis, mitigation and traceability.
Identify/evaluate any design changes and transition of equipment that may be required as a result of changes to Tactical Network system configuration requirements or integration with external systems. Necessary changes identified will require an Engineering Change Proposal (ECP).
Provide development of systems architecture and other system engineering documentation, including DoD Architecture Framework diagrams.
Conduct system evaluations and lessons learned analyses of telecommunications/ automation end items/systems. Anomalies identified as a result of an evaluation/analysis will be contained in a Detailed Technical Publication (DTP) that addresses the anomaly/issue and ways to overcome or mitigate the deleterious effects of the known problem.
Conduct performance and feasibility analysis of a specific concept or technique to include the modeling of concepts and techniques with comparison to current design and performance characteristics.
Integrate system hardware and software with hardware and software communications platforms.
Integrate new communication hardware and software components into existing systems and platforms.
Required Experience:
Candidates should meet the following requirements in order to be considered for this position:
A BS degree in Engineering or a hard science plus 6 years of experience or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as an education substitution with demonstrated Systems Engineering experience.
Minimum of 5 years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product.
Broad experience of PdM NetMod’s technologies to include; Commercial Coalition Equipment (CCE) with Commercial Radio Case (CoRC), Secure Wireless to include Campus Wireless Local Area Network (CWLAN), Secure Wireless Small Form, and Mobile Access Capability Package (MACP), 4th Generation (4G) Long Term Evolution (LTE) Cellular System, , Modular Communications Node-Advanced Enclave (MCN-AE), TROJAN Network Control Center (TNCC) Extended Gateway (TEG), Enroute Mission Command (EMC), High Capacity Line of Sight Radio (HCLOS), Battlefield Video Teleconference Capability (BVTC), Tactical Network Operations Management System (TNMS), Limited support for Terrestrial Transmission Line of Sight (TRILOS) and Troposcatter Transmission System (TROPO)
IAW DOD 8570.01M, personnel will have the appropriate baseline and computing environment certifications.
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
In-depth hands-on experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds, PACSTAR IQ-Core, Wireshark and other network tools)
Solid hands-on experience and understanding of multiple network products and operating systems (e.g. Juniper JUNOS and vSRX, Cisco catalysts switches, CSR1000v routers, ISR/ASR series routers, IOS XE, NX-OS) and wireless network technologies.
Sharp troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently

Active DoD Secret Clearance.
