Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves analyzing user requirements, developing system specifications, and leading design and development activities. You will provide technical leadership and ensure the integration of requirements, design, and technology into ongoing operations.

Salary Range: **$175,000 - $200,000
** Salary ranges are based on minimum education and years of experience and may increase based on education and/or experience.
Qualifications
• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering or a related discipline.
o Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Experienced hardware or software engineer.
• Proficiency in software languages (Java, C, C++, Ruby on Rails) and operating systems (Unix, Linux,
Windows).
• Knowledge of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
• Familiarity with ModelSim for HDL simulation and Xilinx tools.
Responsibilities
• Analyze user requirements and develop system specifications.
• Lead design and development activities, guiding users and conducting feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop technical documentation and system design documentation.
• Guide system development and implementation planning.
• Interact with government personnel regarding technical considerations.
• Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Manage system requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures (DoDAF, SOA, etc.).
• Contribute to systems engineering documentation.
• Assist with the development and allocation of system requirements.
• Coordinate resolution of action items from reviews and meetings.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities.
• Allocate process and error budgets to system components.
• Generate alternative system concepts and design solutions.
• Define verification methods and evaluation criteria.
• Develop system design solutions that satisfy requirements.
• Review and provide input to program and contract work breakdown structures.
• Participate in interface definition and configuration changes.
• Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level ones.
• Develop requirements for Information Assurance Services and Security Mechanism Technology.
• Implement SOA solutions and applicable DoDAF standards.
• Review and approve system engineering documentation.
• Assess program risks and plan verification efforts.
• Establish a process to control and manage changes to requirements.
• Support the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process.
• Provide technical direction for complex hardware/software systems.
• Conduct quantitative analysis in non-functional performance areas.
• Serve as a member of the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
• Maintain knowledge of current and evolving standards.
